As a mother and Career Counselor, and the direct result of life experiences as well as those of her clients, she wrote her first book; “The Way Out”, an easy to read self help book for survivors and those who support them. With the first edition, Jan chose to forgo consideration by a large corporate publishing house in order to maintain the integrity of those who contributed to the book, using recycled materials. The book was first published by Whale Publications in 1993 with current publishing rights being held through the Morris Pratt Institute, Milwaukee, USA, for use in the Pastoral Counseling program. Jan is a member of the National Spiritual Healers Association of Canada, the Mohawk College Alumni Association, and a final year Licentiate Minister student of the Centre for Spiritualist Studies; National Spiritualist Association of Churches in New York, USA.
