Artist Elizabeth Kuyvenhoven presented samples of her works recently at the Spring Blast event on Sunday April 30th at Greenhorns in Sauble Beach, Ontario.
Elizabeth’s love of nature is dramatically captured in work. She works primarily with oils and has been known to paint on just about anything from traditional canvas to tree fungus, to old boards, driftwood, rock and saws.
Elizabeth Kuyvenhoven a lifelong resident of Northern Grey and Bruce Counties in Ontario. The area has enumerable breath taking escarpment and water views that inspire her painting.
Elizabeth inherited her talent and love of art from her father, Henry Kuyvenhoven; Artist and former Curator of The Tom Thompson Art Gallery in Owen Sound, Ontario. Under her father’s tutelage and guidance, Elizabeth developed her natural and unique skills reminiscent of The Group of Seven.
