A few acquaintances have asked me why I wrote this novel book, what on earth brought forth the characters and dream journeys.
Honestly, at inception, I did not recognize the experiences as a book in gestation. More so, it has been a series of profound fascinations to ponder the ideas and journeys which much later grew into a draft manuscript. Bits of story lines for 'Soul Skin' actually began way back in 2001 during one blustery winter blizzard night as movie clip story pieces played in my mind.
It has been so much more than simply constructing or concocting a story into book form. I have unwittingly and intimately journeyed along both the main character Navi as well as the Muses who constitute the 'ancient sisterhood'. These old spirit world gals hail from all cultures and eras. It seems that their prime directive is to re-educate us to our true magical nature and of our interconnectedness with each other, our earthly home with all of her inhabitants, the cosmos and the all that is. Impossible to simply conjure imagine those old gals and fascinating journeys, I doubt that I am that creative of my own accord, I honourably chuckle. I honestly was naively unaware of the profundity of their first hand wise teachings, comfort, love and guidance on a personal level. Like most Grandmothers, they are persistent, funny, profound, wise and bloody relentless. I figured they would stop making their spirited presence known upon the books completion. Obviously not and frankly, I am ever so happy to sense their continued presence, patience, guidance and ethereal belonging. These amazing gals as viewed in my mind's eye, hover stand on a lake shore against a backdrop of wilderness.
As I finally began to devote focused time and space over the past 4 years to this story, it became evident that I was not alone in see - sensing their infectious presence. Hence, the amazing YouTube video 'Ode to the ancient Sisterhood' with it's brilliant all original acoustic guitar by musician James aka Buster Fykes was also born. I do hope you enjoy, simply click follow the link below.
Also, this weekend's free amazon kindle ebook version is part of our little ad hoc Soul Works Gifting Foundation, where since 1993 I occasionally began gifting books and other creative empowering works to jails, women's centres and so on.
I do sincerely hope you enjoy the novel and video as much as I have in putting pen to story and inspiring photo collection to video.
Blessings on your journey!

Thank you New York Book Pundit's Meaghan:
Whew. . . a near miss this morning in small town Ontario; a school bus running a stop sign barely missed my car. It was one of those slow motion surreal times and close up eye to eye connection moment that exchanged a soul exchange, 'Holy crap! Where did you come from?' he wide eyed gaping mouthed. As my heart slamming finally calmed and it registered that we were all a-okay, I smiled at him and thought 'Go go gadget invisibility cloak off'. I can't imagine what on earth distracted him. I snicker, I can't imagine waking up and driving a bus load of unruly noisy children... Kudos to our school bus drivers and may the angels continue to watch over you and your charges! :)
